CIFFA Terms & Conditions.

At the May 13, 2010 CIFFA Annual General Meeting, the Membership approved the changes to the 2005 Standard Trading Conditions as circulated.  The 2010 STCs are now posted on the CIFFA website at  www.ciffa.com/about_stc.asp. 

Time and again, courts find that Standard Trading Conditions apply only when the customer has been fully informed of the STCs and understands that they govern the relationship between Member and client.  Members must ensure that references on quotations, invoices and web-pages contain current links to the new STCS so that customers are informed adequately.   

Some suggested text notation(s) for your documents: 

Total Logistics Partner operates under the CIFFA Standard Trading Conditions, a copy of which is available upon request.

CIFFA strongly recommends that Members not only advise their clients that the Standard Trading Conditions apply and that revised STCs are now available, but also that Members provide all clients with a copy of the 2010 Standard Trading Conditions.  It is important that the client has received the STCs and had an opportunity to read them.   

CIFFA has stock of the new STCS in packages of 100 (each), either in English or French.  The cost of one package is $25.00 plus $10.00 shipping & handling fee plus applicable taxes.  The title page has enough space for Members to overprint their company name and details.  To order the 2010 STCS, please email your request to membership@ciffa.com.
